Also make sure the protocols are sorted by name in the list.

There are now multiple Caliper protocol versions. 

Caliper_LabChip_GX_HT_RNA_assay_user_instructions_v1.0
Caliper_LabChip_GX_HT_RNA_assay_user_instructions_v1.1

The default selection need to be smarter...

We have decided to use a the 'project default' function for this. Eg. among all protocols for a given type, we select the one that has been assigned as the 'project default'. If there is more than one such protocol, the one with the highest id is selected.
