#1509 closed enhancement (fixed)

Improve searching for variants on chrM

Description

Normally when searching for variants on a specific chromosome it is enough to use for example, chr1. This works for chromosome 1 to 22, X and Y, but not not for variants on the 'M' chromosome. A workaround is to use chrom:chrM.

Fixes #1509: Improve searching for variants on chrM

It is now possible to search with chrM to find all variants on the M chromosome and chrM:1234 to find a variant on a specific coordinate on the M chromosome.
