Reports on the mailing lists indicate that MeV 4.3 has solved a lot of the issues that required modifications in order to work with BASE. See ​http://www.mail-archive.com/basedb-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00339.html for more info.

This seems to work now. I'll keep this ticket open until release since the text on the wiki page also needs to be updated.

Got rid of hardcoded 'http' in the jnlp file. Now it should work even if BASE is installed on a secure (https) web server.
