    3  * 2015-10-16 was decided to extend BASE with a new annotatable "`Kit`" item, based on the "`Protocol`" item. When this has been implemented, MeLuDI will be updated to used this for kit management, instead of the current file-based solution. However, until BASE has been updated, MeLuDI kit management will be developed using the latter, but with more emphasis on an API, that will facilitate future change to use of the new BASE "`Kit`" item.
