Description
The assumption that a 4-lane flow cell is used when more than 32 libraries are sequenced in a pool was incorrect.
The NovaSeq seems to have 4 different flow cells: SP, S1, S2 and S4. It is only the S4 that has 4 lanes. The other types have 2 lanes. We are typically using either the SP (with 32 libraries) or S1 (with 64 libraries).
